The course aims firstly at providing students with the knowledge necessary to understand the epistemological frameworks of the pedagogical research, as well as the transformative function of training activities when introducing research and reflection opportunities. It is also intended to facilitate the acquisition of skills in relation both to the methods and tools used in the research pathways and in the reflective and inquiry-based training activities. It is the teacher's intention to focus, in particular, on the ecological perspective, in which professionals and researchers work together for the purpose of meaningful learning. Lastly, by adopting the flipped learning educational and didactic approach it is also intended to facilitate the development of key competencies in the longlife learning perspective.

- Epistemological perspectives of the pedagogical research;
- Methods and techniques for a research contextualized within the ecological paradigm;
- Field research: from the definition of the research question to the development of an emerging theory;
- The contexts of training: places for learning and innovation;
- Reflecting on experience: when training and research collide;
- Medical Humanities: a teaching and research interdisciplinary approach.
DIDACTIC APPROACH
The flipped learning educational and didactic approach will be adopted: there will be proposed both distance activities with the support of Moodle platform, and classroom activities, where will be implemented laboratory exercises aimed at a collaborative and experiential learning.

Attending students will be evaluated throughout the whole course considering the active participation both in terms of quantity and quality of the contributions. It is also planned to draw up a portfolio which will be presented and discussed during the final exam.
For non-attending students, a written exam is scheduled to test the acquisition of the key concepts of the texts through explanatory, argumentative and reflective questions. A research exercise is also required, whose constituent elements will be communicated on the platform and during a dedicated meeting.
